Meeting at the Simons Foundation in New York
During 15th till 17th June Shubha Sathyendranath, Marija Bačeković Koloper and Žarko Kovač attended the Annual meeting of the CBIOMES project at the Simons Foundation in New York.
The 2026 CBIOMES Annual Meeting took place from June 15th till 17th at the Simons Foundation in New York City. The event brought together an international group of scientists for plenary presentations, interactive breakout sessions, posters, and hands-on workshops focused on elemental composition of marine microbes, biogeography, regional ecosystem simulations, and primary production. The meeting also had invited, as well as contributed talks, with discussions spanning topics from growth irradiance parameters, to biophysical interactions in the ocean and disentangling causation from correlation in marine ecosystem.
Shubha Sathyendranath chaired a session on Primary Production and Remote Sensing, during which Marija Bačeković Koloper and Žarko Kovač gave the following presentations:
